This is a personal project I am taking up, taking a photo of my children daily for the month of January

After lunch, my boys usually have to change their shirts, and sometimes their pants, because they are both a *tad* messy when they eat, especially if yogurt is on the menu. On this day, my #2 child came out wearing shorts after I gave the instruction to “change your clothes!”. I promptly told him to go back in his room and get some pants because it was super cold outside. His response to me was “Mommy, there are no pants in my drawer”.
Hm. I guess that means it’s time for me to do laundry.
I told I wanted to take a picture of him wearing shorts in January. He said “Hold on a second, Mommy”, after which he ran in his room, riffled around a few minutes, and then came out in his super-hero cape and mask.
I chuckled.
So, here is my boy, in shorts, in the winter, being a super-hero in front of all the laundry that I needed to tend to. Such is life!
If only I had super powers…

Here is another self-portrait with my baby for this day!!! He was crying. The olders needed lunch.
So, I wore him.
The crying stopped. Lunch was made.
The end.

This morning, my baby…er…my 2 year-old…came to me and told me “C’mon, Mommy! C’mon!”. I followed him to the back door and we looked in awe at the beautiful sunrise. He kept exclaiming “Mommy, Mommy! Orange clouds! Lellow clouds! Blue clouds! Purple clouds!” I took this opportunity to give praise where praise was due for this beautiful display of artwork: to our glorious God.
I told him that we could get his slippers on and go on the deck for a picture. I just had to include the color image as well…

My eldest boy (4 years old) came to me today to tell me he spelled a word. I was super excited because he had never spelled a word before. I thought it was very funny that his first spelled word was “BATMAN”, with the last “A” being an upside-down “V”. And he was even MORE excited to show me that his finger could be used to complete the “A”. He was super proud of himself.
And I was super proud of him.
