My kids keep me running around and I haven’t had a chance to stop. I am working into my precious sleep time now, but I didn’t want to go too much longer without making a post.

It’s hard to believe it’s the conclusion of my photo-a-day project. It’s even harder to believe I actually completed it. I mean, I did have a baby and all this month…

I really thought about what kind of picture I should do at the finale of my little project. While my kids were getting dressed, I was watching my 2-year-old choose his clothes and I realized how quickly this guy is growing up. Everything I used to help him do, he’s saying “No Mommy, I do it!”…even when I try to change his diaper!

He’s starting to become independent, doing things on his own without the help of his Mommy. I remember my older 2 starting their independence a whole lot later. I guess it starts earlier with each subsequent child. Not that I’m complaining, but…

My kids are growing. And will continue to break free from “help” and let their own wings take flight. I am super proud of my kids and I’m actually looking forward to having at least one more child FULLY dependent on me. Because soon he’ll grow up and start choosing his own clothes and putting them on all by himself.

I sort of equated this whole “growing” process to my photography work. I really want to keep taking these daily photos because I’ve learned SO MUCH during this process. I’ve realized how much more I have to learn and I want to continue on my journey. I don’t know how I can fit everything in, but I will try my best to do my best and through it all, I want to keep growing.

It’s been unseasonably warm here in North-east TN so we went outside and enjoyed this lovely weather. The kids needed to unleash their true inner-selves after being cooped up inside for the last several weeks.

Oh, they keep me busy.

It’s been unseasonably warm here in North-east TN so we went outside and enjoyed this lovely weather. The kids needed to unleash their true inner-selves after being cooped up inside for the last several weeks.

Oh, they keep me busy.

They are crazy.

I love them.

Today is hopefully the last day I’ll be staying home from church with my baby. It’s been 4 weeks and I miss being with “family”. But, my littlest guy has some congestion and the last thing I want to have happen is for him to get more sick, for I just KNOW there will be scads of people oogling over his cute-little-self.

Our Sunday routine usually has Daddy getting the boys ready and me helping my girl add the finishing touches to her Sunday attire. This morning, she chose a new bow to wear in her hair. I did a small french braid and added the “huge, white, hair-bow” on her lovely crown. I asked if I could take her picture, which she loves for me to do.

I almost forgot to take a picture this day.

We had finished up devotions, I was feeding the baby, and Daddy was taking the kids to bed. And then it hit me! I have to get a picture! While feeding my littlest guy, I went to the kitchen to grab my camera, adjusted the settings as quick as I could, while holding my precious son and precious camera BOTH one-handed, and yelled “Evan!”. My once-before-baby turned and looked at me and I quickly depressed the shutter.

This was the only picture I got.

I tried to make it work…

Again, such is life!
