Hello! I am Melanie!!!
And I am a photographer in Johnson City, TN!
If I could sit down with you over a cup of coffee and a piece of chocolate cake, I would love to have a chat about how I came to Tennessee back in 2006 right after my first child was born and then learn how you came to live in your beloved town. I’d tell you all about me and learn all about you. But if I had a cup of coffee and a piece of chocolate cake with all of ya, I’d be a gajillion pound woman who never slept! So, how about I just tell ya a teensy bit about me which will hopefully cause you to call me and book a session…which will allow me to get to know you!
I’m am a humble wife to my beloved, Patrick. We have been married for 7 years now. Did I just say 7 years? Wow. We met and married in Charlotte, NC and moved to Johnson City, TN in the fall of 2006 right after my first child was born. But we’ve already been over that…

We have 3 beautiful children. And I’ll let pictures speak louder than words here….
And as you think my life is busy now, just wait until I tell ya that I’ll be homeschooling my girl come fall. I’m excited. And I’m scared. Can you blame me?
I picked up a super-duper point-and-shoot camera in the summer of 2004 while vacationing in Colorado and determined I needed to find out more about photography. I got my first SLR that fall and fell in LOVE with photography. I read my owners manual cover to cover about 3 times. I bought books, took a course, and devoured photography websites. And then I figured the books gave me head knowledge but not experience. So then I started asking my friends if I could take pictures of them. They loved it. I loved it. And then I realized how MUCH I loved this and decided to take it all to the next level.
Now, I have thousands of pictures for several clients (and of my own kids!) that I treasure. I thank God for this ability and I’m having a blast using it as often as I can.
I want to share what God has given me with you. I hope that this website and my photography service will be something that you value.
So, now you need to call (or email) me so I can get to know you. And then we’ll take some pictures.
